Keeping the Workplace Safe, the Joy of Termination, and More

This edition of the CEDR Insider addresses some of the toughest HR issues out there. First, we bring you a true story of how we helped bring a team together to make their workplace safer. Next, we explore the empowering possibilities available through firing when needed. On the lighter side, we geek out over how easy it is to add and keep notes in an employee’s file using Your HR Vault (free for members), and we highlight our simple solution to the headache of PTO and vacation tracking using our timekeeping software, TimeClockIt.

On a more personal note, although we are only halfway through the year, our members have set a record for the number of fellow practices they have referred to us. We are sincerely grateful for the trust you place in us each time you recommend our services to your colleagues and friends. We value being allowed inside your inner circle, and we don’t take that lightly. To all of our members and friends, thank you for helping us help you make workplaces better. READ MORE

(Choose the clip called “Add Note.”) READ MORE

Employee: “How many days off do I have left?”
You: “I don’t know, but it’s in your self-service PTO tracking system. If you need to make a request, please log in and make it in the system.”

If this sounds like a breeze, that’s because it is! Seven years ago we started developing our timekeeping technology, but ultimately realized that in order to keep up and offer a world class system, we needed to partner with a tech company as passionate about PTO tracking and timekeeping as we are about HR. So that is what we did. READ MORE
