We are a family-run business based in Tucson, Arizona and we have served thousands of doctors, dentists and office managers in all 50 states for nearly a decade. Our mission is to empower healthcare employers to build great teams through preventing and solving employment problems.

So what does that mean?

Basically, we help employers like you put robust, enforceable employee policies in place so you can stay compliant with all employment laws that apply to you (there are hundreds more than you think!). We also help you manage strategically and safely, and prevent or resolve employee disputes before they turn into lawsuits and bite you right in the wallet.

The CEDR story

Our company was founded back in the olden days of 2006 by Paul Edwards, a management expert and now a well-known healthcare-industry speaker, and Douglass Lodmell, one of the nation’s foremost asset protection attorneys.

The two of them realized that many medical and dental practice owners and managers had every intention of complying with federal and state employment laws – but there was a problem. Most healthcare employers were putting their practices at risk because they didn’t know how complex these regulations are, how frequently they change, or how common it is to be forced into settling a claim or lose a lawsuit – even the most frivolous – to a disgruntled employee simply because of poorly written or missing policies in their employee handbooks. The issue was costing well-meaning doctors and dentists countless thousands of dollars, and that didn’t seem fair to Paul and Doug…

So they created CEDR.

Our job is to create policies that help employers like you follow all applicable laws and manage fairly while protecting your interests. Then we provide powerful tools, training and strategies so it’s easier for you to enforce your policies and build a stronger team.
